Petrochemical Co. Ltd. is strategically located within Taicang Port
Development Zone, which lies along the coast of the Yangtze River and
approximately 60 km from the estuary towards the shipping channel of
South China Sea.
Shanghai, China's largest
industrial city is in the South-East. The distance by road between
Taicang Port to Shanghai Railway Station and Hongqiao International
Airport of Shanghai is approximately 50 km.
 The industrial cities in the
regions of Nanjing, Wuhan and Chongqin are located in the South-West,
which is accessible by the golden water channel of the Yangtze river.
Further hinterland, the developing regions of Suzhou, Wuxi, and
Changzhou, which lies in the South of the Yangtze River and within the
radius of approximately 200 km from Taicang Port. All these
industrialized regions are accessible by a good network of inland
rivers, roads and railways.
Taicang Port is situated in a
vantage location, which has good access to the hinterland regions by
inland river transportation via Liuhe and Yanglin Rivers. The Yangtze
River, which is linked to the Taihu lake system and the Great canal,
provides a convenient river transportation using barges to service the
regions south of the Yangtze River. Taicang
Port is also linked to the hinterland regions by a good land
transportation network. The state Highway 204 running from North to
South passes Taicang Port. To Shanghai is linked by Hu-jia-liu
Expressway. The provincial Highway 339 links to Hu-ning Expressway and
Jing-hu Railway. The newly constructed expressway & highway along
the Yangtze river, namely Su-kun-tai Expressway and Xi-tai Highway
respectively, upon completion, will be the nearest link by road from
Taicang Port to Shanghai, Suzhou and Wuxi. The planned construction of
a railway line along the Yangtze River will serve as another
alternative rail transportation for Taicang Port.
